Upgrade in Netscape Web Browser
We will implement Netscape Communicator 4.03 as we install Windows NT on each workstation. Library staff familiar with Netscape Navigator 2.01, available under our Windows 3.1 implementation, should have little trouble with this new version. While there are new functions available, all the previous tasks are done in much the same way. Bookmark files created with Netscape Navigator can easily be imported into the new version. This version includes support for Java and most commonly used media types. We will configure each workstation's browser with the add-ins commonly needed in the library, such as Adobe Acrobat for PDF files, Quicktime movies, and the JSTOR printing add-in.
